FIRST THURSDAYS, a collaborative downtown gallery effort to encourage people to walk from venue-to-venue each First Thursday from May through September to sample the arts, food and drinks from 5 pm to 9pm ended the season on September 6th. Thanks to the efforts of members, M.M. Moyer, Mary Hart, Louise Abbott, Margaret Femia, and Bob Stegmaier for coordinating these monthly events and to the many other members who helped to make it a big success.

The GALLERY COMMITTEE has finalized the show/exhibit calendar for 2019. Please check website at to access available prospectuses for show and contact information as they become available. The first show of the year, "HINT OF SPRING", should bring warmth into our January.

The PROGRAM COMMITTEE, in conjunction with the Lowell Telecommunications Corporation (LTC) will be streaming monthly Sunday morning art films beginning October 21st at 11:00am. These short films are on artists and various genres and were produced by or in cooperation with the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. They are on loan to LTC and will air on LTC Channel 8 on Sunday mornings at 11am every week. ALL has selected the 3rd Sunday of the month to watch that week's films in the gallery. Come join us each month (dates are in the SAVE THE DATE section) to watch that week's film(s) and have a hot cup of coffee and pastries. They can also be viewed streaming online at at the same time they air on the channel. The first date is Sunday, October 21st at 11am. Program will run from 11am to 12pm.

The GATES BLOCK GARDEN is in full Fall bloom so stop by to be inspired. We will start planting for Spring in the next few months and welcome donations to pay for bulbs and mulch. Sculptor Madeleine Lord is currently showcasing her whimsical work in the garden. In addition, there will be a pop up show in the garden for artist PierSath Chath on Thursday, October 25, sponsored by the One Khmer organization.
