Drawing is the key element in my work whether realistic or with subjects that become abstract during the process. Expressive line creates form and spontaneity. I use color for movement and space throughout the piece. I work almost exclusively with pastel because of its directness and rich, vibrant color. Pastel offers the color of painting, with the immediacy of drawing.
